D.B.M.S. KADMA HIGH SCHOOL, is situated in the heart of the city, beside the Kadma market. It is a co-educational institution. The school was started on 22nd of January 2004. It is run by the Dakshina Bharatha Mahila Samaj, with representative from the Samaj, Parents, Educationists and Social workers in the managing committee.
The school is an English medium school, hence all the programs offered are in the same medium. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education Council, (CBSE) New Delhi. At D.B.M.S. K.H.S., the educational programmes are divided into four levels (5+3+3+4 as per the new NEP) –the kindergarten level (Nursery to Std II), the Primary level (Std. III–V), Secondary (VI – VIII) & Higher Secondary (Std.X - XII).
The curriculum lays emphasis on the all – round development of the students and is aligned to the Vision and the Mission of the school, with special emphasis on developing a strong value system in the students.
The school follows a curriculum based on the CBSE guidelines. However, the curriculum is developmentally based and adapted to suit the age-level of the students, the syllabus is made for each class according to board guidelines and the new NEP recommendations.
The excellent infrastructure of D.B.M.S. K.H.S. includes spacious classrooms, well equipped Senior & Junior Computer Laboratories, Science laboratories, Senior & Junior Libraries, a state-of-the-art auditorium- Kalakriti, lift for teachers and the ATL Tinkering Lab. The labs are available for the students to enhance their learning. The ATL (Atal Tinkering Lab) has been set up in the school in the year 2018 in collaboration with the NITI AAYOG NEW DELHI (GOVT.OF INDIA). The school has smart boards in all 60 classrooms for better concept building.
For physical development it is compulsory for students to enrol themselves to at least one club and participate in different games & yoga. The school has a huge playground with two volleyball courts, a state-of-the-art basketball court with polypropylene surface (the 1st school in the town with this facility) and a football field. The school also provides facilities for indoor games like chess, badminton and carrom. A designated play area is also available for the kindergarten section.
